Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of crowncarenemt.com and the non-emergency medical transportation services provided by Crown Care NEMT ("Crown Care," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking a ride or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Nature of Service — NOT Emergency Transport
Crown Care NEMT provides non-emergency medical transportation. We are not an ambulance service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately. Do not book a Crown Care ride for emergency situations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to book a ride. Rides for minors must be booked by a parent or legal guardian. By booking, you represent that all information provided is accurate and that you have authorization to provide the passenger's information.
3. Private Pay Only
Crown Care NEMT is a 100% private pay service. We do not bill Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, or third-party payers. Full payment is the responsibility of the requester.
4. Booking and Confirmation
A ride request becomes a binding reservation only after we send a written confirmation email with driver and vehicle details. A request by itself is not a guaranteed ride. We reserve the right to decline requests at our discretion.
5. Pricing, Payment, and Quotes
Final price is confirmed before the ride is booked. Quotes are based on distance, vehicle type, equipment, wait time, and region. Payment is by credit or debit card; an authorization is placed at confirmation and charged upon ride completion.
6. Cancellation
Cancellations made more than four (4) hours before scheduled pickup are free. Cancellations within four hours of pickup may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total ride cost. No-shows are charged in full. Medical emergencies will be reviewed case-by-case.
7. Passenger Conduct
Passengers agree to behave respectfully toward drivers and vehicles. We reserve the right to terminate a ride if a passenger is abusive, intoxicated to the point of endangerment, or engaged in unsafe conduct. No refund is provided for rides terminated for this cause.
8. Medical Disclosures and Safety
You agree to disclose relevant medical conditions, mobility needs, oxygen requirements, weight restrictions, and any other information material to safe transport. Failure to disclose may result in ride cancellation at the point of pickup without refund.
9. Driver and Vehicle
Crown Care NEMT coordinates with vetted, licensed, and insured third-party vehicle operators in each market. Each driver has passed background checks and meets our training requirements. We retain the right to substitute drivers or vehicles as operational needs require, provided the substitution meets or exceeds the originally confirmed service level.
10. Limitation of Liability
Crown Care NEMT's total liability for any claim arising from a ride shall not exceed the amount paid for that ride. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages, including missed appointments due to traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Crown Care NEMT harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the service.
12. Website Use
You agree not to interfere with the website's operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content, or submit fraudulent bookings. Violations may result in legal action.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on crowncarenemt.com — logos, text, graphics, animations, code — is owned by Crown Care NEMT and protected by copyright and trademark law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or booking additional rides after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
